I was pretty impressed, but pretty much anything with any horsepower is a step up for me in that department. I also had a student with an R8. He knew NHMS so I didn't drive it for him - which is just as well. I'd feel a little uncomfortable piloting something that costs as much as a small house! Checked instructor-student assignments to find that my husband got the student with the Ferrari 575 Maranello. He's also been an instructor mentor to the dude with the Audi R8. Of *course* he got to drive them both. Me? I get the (older) M5. A nice Big Car whose owner was surprised I wasn't drooling and exclaiming wildly when I drove it for him. Guess it's better than the rental Buick I had to show someone how to drive once that tried damned hard to put us on the grass at turn three at NHMS. Life isn't fair sometimes.
